LET IT aLL sTART hERE
For Catholics who care...
This is not a question to take lightly. This is not an easy question to answer. Take some time today to think about what you believe. Write me @ Let It All Start Here with your answer. I want to know. And if you struggle to answer the question, perhaps your silence speaks volumes as well.
In The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis writes: The believer is essentially "one who remembers." I love the sentiment contained in these words. I love these words! So often I am gently nudged by Jesus who is saying: Rememer me. He, because I believe, helps my unbelief. Mark 9:24 On this 1st Sunday of Advent I can't help but remember Christmas past where being in church, being involved in the Mass and coming to the Eucharist has helped me realize what I believe.

I believe in God the Father, our creator God, who made me, the world and all that is in it that is good and holy. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. He is my greatest love, my Savior, my teacher and my hope. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the breath of love that is shared by the Father, Love, and the Son, the Beloved. That breath animates all of us who yearn to do good and live holy, virtuous lives. I believe and love the Holy Catholic Church, the church that I have chosen and that has chosen me. I believe in the efficacy of the prayers of our Saints and especially those of our Holy Mother who has taught me to love and pray in a very special way. I believe and love the Scriptures and will probably spend the rest of my life trying to understand them. This is the core of my faith. It seems so complex at times and yet in its simplicity it is this: Love God and love others. Jesus is Lord.
